About the Program
In support of the community’s vision, the master plan for Goodnight Ranch includes a commitment to inclusion, providing a wide range of home types and prices. In order to reach that goal, the Goodnight Ranch Affordable Homes Program includes 10% of the total for-sale and for-rent residences throughout the community. The program was created specifically to include homes for families earning less than the area’s median income that might not otherwise be able to afford a home or rent an apartment in southeast Austin.
Goodnight Ranch is committed to being long-term stewards of the vision and making good on the promise that this community was built on, offering working families a real pathway to afford to live near where they work and play every day. Goodnight Ranch provides comprehensive and sustainable housing and communities for Austin residents across the economic spectrum, offering both rental and ownership opportunities.


For Sale Program
To help fulfill SMART Housing commitments that were part of the entitlements granted by the city in the creation of Goodnight Ranch, Austin Habitat for Humanity (AHFH) is developing 57 new homes. These homes will be architecturally identical to other homes in the community, built to the same exacting standards and fully compliant with the existing Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions.
These high-quality homes will be sold at affordable prices to qualifying low-to-moderate income families, with construction and sales taking place throughout 2026-2027. The new homeowners will be valued members of our community, sharing the same rights, responsibilities, and privileges as all residents, along with a commitment to community involvement and home maintenance that defines Goodnight Ranch.

For Rent Program
All rental communities offer predominantly affordable homes, including for seniors and families.
